A Thanksgiving Message from the Cheetahs

The Wampanoags were the Native Americans who celebrated a harvest feast with the Pilgrims.
The Pilgrims learned how to plant corn and other crops from one of the natives, Squanto.
Here is our dramatization of the Wampanoags planting corn.

Science in 2G
We just finished reading a fictional story about an owl, concentrating on making mental images as we read. We also read a nonfiction article, thought of lots of questions about owls, and did further research.
Next, we wrote a class poem about an owl, and we're currently working on our own poems about the cheetah, owl, or dolphin.
After learning about owls, we each looked closely at an owl pellet, or "owl puke." We found lots of evidence of what owls eat as we did our best to match the bones in the pellet with the bones on our animal chart. We found lots of rodent skulls in our pellets.
